CONNECT WITH YOUR BREATH SERIES

“The breath is like a thread that connects your body to your mind and acts as a bridge to your nervous system.”

Join me for a 4-week Connect With Your Breath series starting February 25th! These one-hour online Musicians’ Yoga sessions will be suitable for beginners as well as experienced practitioners.

Among other things, they will offer a space to:

  1. Connect with your breath.
  2. Discover the principles of optimal breathing to improve health and performance.
  3. Learn how to use breathing to self-regulate and manage challenging situations.
  4. Spend time in a community of like-minded musicians.

HOW IT WORKS

Yoga mat
  1. Choose your device. Use a laptop, tablet, or smartphone. I recommend the largest-screen device possible so you can see me clearly.
  2. Download the app or join with a link. Here is a link for the Zoom video software download. The Acuity scheduling link in your confirmation email will take you to the class.
  3. Roll out your mat. No yoga props are necessary however a couple of yoga blocks and a yoga strap might be useful. If you don’t have those, use a scarf or a belt and some books!
  4. Set up your space. I’d like to see you when you’re in standing poses as well as when you’re on the mat. It helps to place your device on a raised surface, knee-level or higher (i.e. coffee table, chair). Position your mat about 8 feet away from the device.
  5. Get sound-ready. Bluetooth headphones or a speaker are highly encouraged, but not necessary. If you fancy some music for your practice, click here to open a Spotify playlist.
  6. Join the class 5-10 minutes early.

Can’t make it at that exact time? Worry not, each class includes a 7-day recording!
