Do you want to go back to “normal” ?
Have you sensed the weather’s changing? I feel it in the air on my walks, something’s shifted and the Spring’s around the corner. And I guess I myself am ready for a change as well, and not just weather-wise.
THINGS ARE LOOKING UP
To quote Albus Dumbledore, I hope I don’t sound “optimistic to the point of foolishness” when I say that, things are hopefully looking up. :) At least I like to think so. I like to think that we’re headed for a gradual easing of restrictions that will allow us to do crazy things like go for a coffee or to the gym! And it just so happens that this corresponds with the arrival of spring.
LOOKING BACK
But here’s the thing, I don’t expect things to return to exactly the way they were a year ago and in some ways, it would be a shame if they did. What I’m saying is, maybe this is a good time to look back and think about the silver linings. As horrible as this situation’s been for a lot of people, chances are that you can find some in your life.
HERE ARE SOME OF MY SILVER LININGS:
- I’ve had time to follow my passion for yoga and performance wellbeing
- I’ve had the chance to meet some amazing like-minded people along the way
- I’ve gained more spaciousness in my daily life
- I’ve started a habit of daily walks
- And I could go on
BEING INTENTIONAL
Do I want to keep these things a part of my life even when things start to get busy again? Heck yeah! But it won’t just happen on its own. This is where setting intentions comes into play. And sometimes it takes stopping and tuning into yourself to really see what they are. Yoga is one of the ways to do that.
