Facing New Challenges with Resilience
This Tuesday was the anniversary of the first lockdown in the UK. And what a year it’s been. It seems like a decade went past instead of “just” 12 months from the moment this whole madness started.
ORCHESTRA TOUR? FORGET IT…
It’s crazy to think that the second week of March last year, I was actually flying to see family in Czechia with a view to join the orchestra on tour in Vienna a few days later. Well, let’s just say things didn’t quite go that way.
A BIZARRE SPRING
I still remember agonizing over whether I should fly straight back to the UK once the severity of the situation started to dawn on me only to have that dilemma resolved for me. I was asked to go into my first quarantine, ended up being sick (not Covid luckily) and spending one of the most bizarre spring seasons at home surrounded by family.
CHALLENGES, OLD AND NEW
I may not have realized this at the time but looking back, I’m positive that my yoga and self-care routines made it possible for me to get through the ups and downs of the past year without completely losing it. :) And now that we’re hopefully heading towards a brighter future with musicians being able to perform again, there are some new challenges.
Maybe you’re concerned about being around a large number of people again or worried you might suffer an injury after months without performing. It’s with those things in mind that I’ve designed my upcoming pre-registered series of classes.
