Calm. Ease. Resilience

I know what it’s like being a stressed-out musician struggling with pain, tension and anxiety around music making. Yoga was the first thing that helped me manage all the pressures of my chosen profession but it took me years to figure out what kind of practice was best for my specific goals and challenges as a musician.
I’ve distilled 13+ years of yoga practice and 4+ years of teaching yoga to musicians into a well-rounded system. It includes all the strategies I wish I’d known when I first discovered yoga so that I could use it to ease pain and tension from playing my instrument, find calm in face of anxiety and boost resilience under pressure.

GWEN SAYS:
“I was immediately impressed with Veronika’s knowledge, clarity of instruction, and the applicability of what she taught. I left each session feeling great and played better in rehearsals and performances later in the day. Veronika brings a combination of her own experience as a professional musician and years of yoga teaching. Every musician should take her course. They will be better for it!”
– Gwendolyn Cawdron, Associate Principal Viola no. 2, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra

Yes. The course is designed as an entry-level program for musicians who are at the start of their yoga journey as well as seasoned practitioners who want to explore a targeted approach for musicians. There are options and modifications throughout the practices so that you can go at your own pace.
An average length of a yoga class inside the course is 20-25 minutes. Some are slightly longer, some slightly shorter. The bite-sized lessons are no more than 5 minutes long.
I built the course in a way that you can dip in and out should you wish. In the introduction part of the course, you’ll find several suggestions on how to structure it.
I’ve spent the past 4 years listening to other musicians and learning about their biggest challenges and goals. That information is woven into every lesson in this program. For example, there are lessons dedicated to taking care of the wrists and shoulders at the start of the course.
The honest answer is it depends. It may or may not depending on the nature of your injury. The surest way to find out is to consult your doctor. You can also reach out to me to get more information.
One of my teachers used to say:” Saying that you’re too inflexible to do yoga is like saying you are too dirty for a shower.” :) Joking aside though, physical postures are just one facet of a yoga practice. There are also options and modifications throughout the course to meet you where you are.
No. Yoga doesn’t require you to subscribe to any religion or belief system.
Yoga is a really multi-faceted system but generally, there are what are called eight limbs. Out of these eight, the majority of the course focuses on the following three: posture or movement, breath control and meditation.
